Vermont's Parks & Public Lands: Our Cultural and Scenic Heritage
Project

In conjunction with The National Parks: America’s Best Idea, Our Shared Heritage: Vermont’s Parks & Public Lands is a community collaboration effort to:

  • Raise awareness, participation and stewardship in Vermont's public lands
  • Enhance Vermonters' commitment to conservation of natural resources
  • Engage traditionally underserved communities in the educational resources and programming available in Vermont’s public lands

This community campaign includes:

  • Screenings and discussions
  • Free passes to Vermont State Parks and Historic Sites, available at libraries throughout the state
  • Online user-generated story, video and photo collecting tool
  • Local and nationally shared experiences using Google Maps
  • Expanded programming on VPT to highlight Vermont’s Public Lands

OUR SHARED HERITAGE: VERMONT’S PARKS & PUBLIC LANDS
is made possible by Vermont Public Television and the help of our community partners:

This collaboration is funded in part by CPB, PBS, WETA, Washington, DC, and OSBE (Organization of State Broadcasting Executives).
